10 Weeks

Wahoo!  Baby Cross has officially made it to 10 weeks!  We had a doctor appointment right at the 10 week mark and our doctor was able to hear the heartbeat by using the doppler!  We were so thrilled!  It was such a nerve wracking appointment, as is every appointment.  Each time we can hear the heartbeat is another milestone in our book!

The nausea has been absolutely killing me, along with the vomiting.  My doctor asked how I was feeling and I said not so good.  He told me that he could tell, that my eyes were sunken in and my lips were dry.  He could tell I am dehydrated and said that I needed to start keeping liquids down.  With peeing much more often and vomiting, it didn't seem possible.  Not to mention, I lost 2 pounds since my last appointment.  So, I am officially on nausea medicine.  At first, I was obviously hesitant to any type of medication,  but trusting my doctor and knowing I need to remain healthy for the baby, I decided to take them.  And OMG HAVE THEY HELPED!  The nausea is gone, although smells still make me gag, but I am feeling much better.  I am eating more and life seems more tolerable.  So, with that being said... if you're in the position I was in, or worse, I highly recommend a little medicine to help with the first trimester blues!

How far along? 10 weeks 3 days
Maternity clothes? My pants don't button comfortably anymore.  They push the baby bump up and it feels awful.  I bought a belly band to put around my unbuttoned jeans and boy did that make a difference!
Stretch marks? None!
Sleep: I sleep well but my dreams are insane!  I have had two dreams that I am talking to my daughter and one weird dream about people trying to attack my house and I ran away because I was pregnant.
Best moment(s) this week: Hearing the heartbeat at 10 weeks and beginning to feel a bit better!
Miss Anything? Last night we got Mexican food and I could have easily had 4 margs.
Movement: No
Food cravings: Lately, donuts.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Meat in general.  I can eat it, if I don't see it being cooked at all and it's covered in any seasoning to not make it taste meat-like.  Oh, and any weird smells.
Gender: Darius and I are both thinking a girl.
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Sore breasts, slight nausea, sensitive to smells, moody, always hungry, always thirsty, EXHAUSTION.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Probably mostly moody because I am so freaking tired all the time that by the time 1:00 hits, my students have the worst of me and so does my husband.
Looking forward to: Our 12 weeks prenatal screening where they test for birth defects.  Praying for a healthy baby!
